Orthodox Family Life
As a
Church School Director for eight years, a catechist for 30, and now traveling
throughout the country, my belief that there is a need for a "parish ministry
to families" has been confirmed over and over again. I believe that our
parishes need
- to reach out to parents before their
children are of Church School age
- to assist the parents of mixed faith
families
- to assist families where one or both spouses
have not grown up in an Orthodox Christian home
In an attempt to fill that need, I co-founded
ORTHODOX FAMILY LIFE in 1995. I edited OFL
for four years and relinquished the task to the other co-founder who edited for
another year. During its five years many parishes across the country subscribed
to OFL. The last issue was Winter 2000-2001. The archives for
ORTHODOX FAMILY LIFE are available on http://www.theologic.com/oflweb/.
