Orthodox Family Life

As a Church School Director for eight years, a catechist for 30, and now traveling throughout the country, my belief that there is a need for a "parish ministry to families" has been confirmed over and over again.  I believe that our parishes need

1.       to reach out to parents before their children are of Church School age

2.       to assist the parents of mixed faith families

3.      to assist families where one or both spouses have not grown up in an Orthodox Christian home

In an attempt to fill that need, I co-founded ORTHODOX FAMILY LIFE in 1995. I edited OFL for four years and relinquished the task to the other co-founder who edited for another year. During its five years many parishes across the country subscribed to OFL. The last issue was Winter 2000-2001. The archives for ORTHODOX FAMILY LIFE are available on http://www.theologic.com/oflweb/.
