The Clergy Care Project
Blessed are those who mourn, and those who comfort them.
Welcome!
As Orthodox Clergy, we minister to people during their time of dying, death, and grieving. That is a sacred burden logistically, emotionally and spiritually. Even the most seasoned priests can find themselves stretched by the demands of presence, pastoral care, and liturgical responsibility. Whether crafting eulogies that honor both grief and faith, calling a grieving spouse, or navigating the shock of suicide, we face moments that test our wellbeing and capacity. This project invited us to consider a support system that could take advantage of our unique knowledge and experience as a brotherhood. By doing so, it is our ardent prayer that we may continue to offer comfort and guidance even as we care for our own emotional health, spiritual clarity, and family life.
